A subject close to my heart and living situation is a small kitchen.
I love to cook and love kitchen gadgets and accessories. I could live in a tiny house because the only thing I need is a nice size kitchen in which most tiny houses offer. Most of the cities have expensive rentals with tiny kitchens or like in Miami you get outdated and small.I have found some ways to work around my small area and increase the amount of space. These items will save you counter space and revolutionize the decor and organization in your kitchen.
1. Magnetic Knife rack
This adds a very sleek look and touch to the walls of your kitchen and lets you display your fancy knife collection or gadgets. You now will have extra counter space or drawer space. You can find all different styles in amazon. Below are some of my favorites.
Modern Innovations 16 Inch Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Bar with Multi-Purpose Functionality as a Knife Holder, Knife Strip, Magnetic Tool Organizer, Art Supply Organizer & Home Organizer
2. Kitchen wall tool holder
You can use this on your wall or cabinets to create a functional storage system. In my opinion is easier to grab when your cooking or serving than when you have everything inside of a drawer and things get stuck together when you are pulling them out.
3. Shelves
If you have only one side of kitchen cabinets like me these shelves work great to store your plates, cups, recipe books and what ever you feel looks great to display. I made the mistake of leaving my food on display and it looked a bit cluttered and heavy. I changed and left out only my plates and cups and since they are all white it was easy on the eye and automatically made it look more clean and organized. These shelves are from Ikea and very affordable.
Kitchen Islands are my favorite part of a kitchen. You can use them for extra space while cooking, fruit display and as a breakfast nook. This one is great because the legs bend in and you can drop down one section while out of use. You also get the two drawers for extra storage for measuring cups, mason jars lids, and bar utensils.
There is so many different ideas of what you can do to save space. These are just a few that worked for me. Depending on your space these might not work. Feel free to contact me to help you with your space! I hope you have a great rest of the week. Happy hump day! :)
